Does weight lifting stunts your growth ?

As we all know that there is common misbelief among older generation that lifting weights may stop growth in children and adolescents and as a they do not allow their children to go to gym as a result it only harms their growth. Weightlifting do not stunt growth: "you will not find any scientific evidence to suggest that weightlifting stops growth in children or adolescents." It is a misbelief that weight training hinders growth since correlation does not imply causation. most parents don't let their kids join the gym before 20yr of age and due to this reason they are behind in fitness and strength.actually there is no right age to start weight training you should start as early 6yr-7yr under guidance of certified coach. Youngster's growth is not stunted by weight training, in fact, it benefits formation growth. Resistance training is safe for kids and teenagers, and it can actually aid in the building of bone mass. Weight training benefits children for bone health,to prevent injury , and it may also help improve overall self-esteem of individual and may help develop relevant habits for adulthood.Starting early will benefit children if wish pursue sports as their career by building good base fitness
